Course & Eligibility

Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) - (Two years)
Bachelor’s Degree(11+1+3 or 10+2+3 or five year integrated masters degree under 10+2+5 or four year bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology under11+1+4 or 10+2+4 (with Mathematics and Science in both higher secondary and Engineering programmes)
Should have scored minimum50% marks in Part III (Main+ Allied) of Bachelor’s Degree( In case of OBC,EBC,MBC,SC,BT and Physically challenged candidates, one should have scored a minimum of 40% marks)
Minimum 55% of marks in Engineering/Technology( SC candidates 50%)

There is no age limit for B. Ed programme
Only the candidates belonging to Union Territory of Puducherry are eligible
The students of the neighbouring states can also apply and they will be considered if vacant seats are available after admitting UT candidates by collecting nominal fees from them as fixed by the institution

4	Social Science	History/Historical Studies, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy (A pass in the Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology or Philosophy is must for admission) The major subject chosen at both Bachelor's Degree an Masters degree should be the same in case of students who are admitted based on Masters degree subject.
5	Tamil	Tamil, Functional Tamil
6	English	English, Functional English, English Literature& English for career
7	Commerce	Commerce, Commerce-vocational, Corporate Secretaryship (A pass in the Master's Degree in commerce is must for commerce admission) The major subject chosen at both Bachelor's Degree and Masters degree should be the same in case of students who are admitted based on Masters degree subject.
