Establishment of Music Lab:

A separate Music Lab was established with all music instruments to impart teaching on fine and performing arts as part and parcel of the B.Ed curriculum. The Music Lab first of its kind is established in Karaikal District from the funds received under component -9 equity initiatives of RUSA head.

Soild Waste Management:

Solid Waste Management & cleaning is done by optimum utilization of the menials engaged on contract basis ( Out sourcing) . The collected waste materials on each & every day were handed over to the Hand in Hand organization ( an authorized agency of Karaikal Municipality engaged for solid waste disposal)

Water Harvesting & Plantation

A pond existing inside the campus has been revamped/ revitalized with maximum water holding capacity. The size of the pond has considerably increased to an extent of 80m x 50m x3m and the bund has been raised to a width of 12 to 15 feet. 28.60 lakh gallons of water storing capacity. The rain water collected from the constructed area of 4610 Square metre also stored in the said pond. Apart from these as a part and parcel of developing a lush green atmosphere around 100 saplings were planted well before the commencement of North East monsoon involving students participation.

Facilities for differently abled:

The following are the some major and important & essential provisions especially made for the differently abled pupils of this Institute.

• Ramp has been provided in RCC to the main floors
• A special wheel chair has been purchased and kept especially for the use of Differently abled students.
• One specially designed TOILET has been provided in the ground floor of the building

Apart from these basic amenities the following facilities for their improvement in the academic orientation and career improvement. Special software package with NVDA (Non visual Desktop Access) & JAWS were purchased and installed in the library for visually impaired students.
